The EVR Pizza Experiment

My photo
Have you ever wondered what a piece of pizza looked like after sitting around an office for an entire year? No? Well we have! The purpose of this blog is to document what happens to two pieces of pizza (one with vegan cheese, one with regular mozzarella cheese) over the course of an entire year. We'll be taking pictures daily and giving you regular updates on the pizza's journey through 2009! What's going to happen at the end of the year? Will the pizza evaporate? Will mice eat the pizza? Will we end up with a giant pile of penicillin? Who knows!! Check back regularly so you don't miss out on this important piece of American history!

Wow, it's been a super long time since our last update, huh? Things have been busy here in our science lab, and are test subjects are looking (and smelling) increasingly less appetizing with each passing day. Here's a picture of some of our scientists hard at work:

Can you believe that we're almost 2 months into this exciting experiment? What kind of world changing things do you think we'll uncover over the remaining 10 months??? One thing we know for sure, whatever is discovered, it won't be as cool as http://www.phonetrace.org/! Go ahead, try that shit out!

What an exciting day here for the pizza experiment! Although our test subjects are still in a state of limbo, we had another visitor grace us with his presence! An extremely handsome mantaur magically appeared in the pizza box this afternoon to get a first hand look at our test subjects!

Hopefully his presence is a sign of delightfully magical things to come for our test subjects!

Happy monday everyone! It's President's Day today, and in celebration of this extremely important holiday, we're not going to post any links of people doing vile things to themselves. We'll be sure to have something really vomit inducing for the next update though!

After another weekend of hanging out, our test subjects are beginning to become a bit less stale. I'm not sure how that's possible, but both slices weren't as crouton like. The crusts of both slices felt a little softer than usual, so maybe that means our test subjects are going to become fresher and fresher over time!

Keep an eye out for some more exciting pictures this week!

Wow, another weekend come and gone! Our test subjects still haven't encountered any groundbreaking changes over the past few days, making this blog about as dry as they are.

Now, we don't want to exaggerate, but we've received hundreds, if not thousands of requests for some upclose pictures of our test subjects. Take a look at these for a more intimate view of our slices:

One month down, eleven more to go! Wow, what an exciting adventure it's been thus far, right? Does anyone have any predictions as to what's going to happen to our test subjects over the next eleven month? If you can guess correctly what's going to happen to our test subjects at the end of our experiement, we're going to give away a prize (hint: it might be two slices of pizza)!!

Woah, check out the cheese slice! It's more erect than a priest's boner when said priest is in a room full of little boys!

So we're quickly approaching the one month mark for our test subjects and they are looking more and more gross by the day. There are still no signs of mold or mouse shit on the pizza, but there has definitely been an abundance of mouse turds on a few of our desks lately. The test subjects are still drying up and still appear to be shrinking (unlike Jessica Simpson....have you seen how fat that bitch has gotten? Regardless, I'd probably still toss it in her...)

In an effort to make our photo updates more visually appealing and/or entertaining, we're welcoming any suggestions you might have. Would you like to see photos of our test subjects in provocative positions? Or from different angles? Let us know!

Oh, and have you heard about the Blink 182 reunion tour? check it out: http://www.blink-182.com/

Happy monday everyone! After another weekend of chillin', our test subjects appear to now be nothing more than giant croutons!

Everyone likes croutons, right? Maybe we should see if we can find someone to volunteer to eat our poutonz (pizza + croutons = poutonz) after we hit the one year mark! Any takers?

Here's the vegan slice after about 3 and a half weeks of sitting. Tasty lookin', right?

It's been a few days since our last update and there have been some extremely exciting changes! Although it isn't visible in these photos, under close inspection, the vegan slice of pizza has a bunch of yellow beads of liquid all over it. Now, I'm no scientist, but I'm pretty sure it's not urine. The regular cheese slice is starting to develop some cracks in it, resembling the San Andreas fault. Maybe the cheese slice is eventually going to split in half!

We decided to give you some close up photos of our test subjects today to give you a better view of what's been going down.

The cheese slice is pretty boring. The only real changes that have occured with it over the past week or so is the aroma, which is starting to remind me of grundle sweat.

The vegan slice has been the more interesting of the two. It's continuing to curl up on all sides, and there now appears to be a spot that resembles that giant red dot on the surface of Jupiter. The vegan cheese appears to be speckled with little black dots in a few places.

Here's a close up of Dick the Duck. Totally looks like a duck, right?

Another weekend come and gone, and our test subjects are still holding up fairly well. No signs of mold or mouse poop, so these slices are probably still safe to eat.

Our pal Pizza T. Hut (the "T" stands for "the") swung by the office over the weekend to visit his illegitimate son. Did I not tell you that the vegan slice of pizza is Pizza T. Hut's son? Well if I didn't, now you know! The resemblance is uncanny, isn't it? Pizza T. Hut couldn't stay long, but atleast he stopped to pose for a quick photo (since Spaceballs came out, he's been banging chicks left and right. Needless to say, he's got something like 8,000 kids to visit, so we understand why he had to take off so quickly)

It's common knowledge that Pizza The Hut is vegan. And yes, his favorite band is Earth Crisis. Hopefully he comes by the office to visit again soon so we can all mosh to "Firestorm" together!

Wow, we're two weeks into this exciting experiment! Can you believe it? Only 50 weeks to go! Our two test subjects still appear to be shrinking on a daily basis.

In this profile pic of our test subjects, not only can you see how curled up both slices are getting, as well as our pal Dick the Duck (yup, the grease spot has a name now), but you also get a clearer view of the love-snot on the side of the box! I can't wait to see what developments occur over the weekend!
On a side note, what's more boring than a lame blog about a chia pet? That's right, not a damn thing! Chia pets are "hella" lame.
PIZZA EXPERIMENT 4 LYFE!

Sorry for the lack of update yesterday. Our test subjects are still nice and dry looking, but are now starting to emit a slight odor, similar to a mixture between sour milk and body odor. As you can see from the photo, the regular cheese pizza is really starting to curl up on the end. And incase you haven't noticed it before, the grease spot in the box between the two test subjects is starting to resemble a duck. Go on, look at it! If you don't see a duck you're an idiot.

Our test subjects have not changed at all since yesterday. BOOORRIIINGGGGGGG!!!!!

What an uneventful weekend! Seems like there were no earth shattering changes to our two test subjects over the past few days. If this keeps up, all we're going to have is two giant croutons after our experiment is over!

Friday, January 16, 2009

We're one week in to our year long pizza experiment, hooray! Both test subjects look pretty much the same as they did yesterday. Hopefully we'll have some exciting and earth shattering developments over the weekend!

Thursday, January 15, 2009

Our test subjects aren't looking much different today. They're looking about as dry (and as appetizing) as a menopausal woman's cootch. Gross.....

Ever have those Shrinky Dink things when you were a kid? Those things were fucking awesome! I don't know how they worked (I'm assuming they're magical), but to this day I'm still blown away by how small those things got after you pulled them out of the oven. Something similar seems to be occuring with our test subjects. The heat has been blasting in the office over the past few days, which is most likely contributing to our continuously shrinking slices of pizza. Who knows, maybe we'll have teenie-tiny slices of pizza in a few days! Mr. T would totally eat that shit.

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

Not much change in our pizza since yesterday. Both pieces are starting to curl up at the ends, just like elf shoes! Maybe these pieces of pizza are both going to eventually morph into elves! That would be sweet! We could sure use the extra help around the office.

After the first weekend!

Our test subjects are looking a little dry after their first weekend! The vegan pizza is starting to curl up a bit more on the edges, but thankfully the vegan cheese still looks like a healthy batch of semen. The regular cheese pizza also looks a little dehydrated, but otherwise is unchanged.

Friday, January 9, 2009

Here are our test subjects after about 24 hours of sitting in the office. The vegan pizza is looking a little shriveled, while the regular cheese pizza is looking relatively the same. I wonder what wonderful changes will occur over the weekend?

Here are two test subjects! Vegan pizza on the left, regular cheese pizza on the right! This picture was taken on day 1 of our year long experiment!
